Enhancing IT Services: Avarn Security Group's collaboration with Melkki

Melkki supported Avarn Group with valuable insights and guidance when Avarn Group was defining the way forward with their IT services landscape and strategic partner.

Background & Challenge

Avarn Security Group (Avarn) is a leading security group with operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Avarn had previously made the decision to consolidate its IT infrastructure and application services to a strategic IT services provider. Avarn was now looking for a sourcing advisor to assist in analysis of the current situation and opportunities to extend the geographic scope of the sourcing model which could take the Nordic integration to next level.

Our Approach

Melkki team applied a structured collaborative approach with Avarn IT leadership and the strategic supplier to analyze the situation from various stand points: contractually, operationally and financially. Both outside-in and inside-out view points were included in the analysis which took benefit from Melkki’s broad understanding of the current IT market situation in the Nordics. Target of the analysis was adjusted after each iterative sprint to assure Avarn received maximum value from the initiative.

Impact & Value Delivered

Avarn received valuable insights and guidance in order to decide the way forward with their IT services landscape and strategic partnership. With Melkki analysis, Avarn Group was able to base the required strategic decision on a comprehensive fact base and additionally received guidance on how to strengthen the vendor management function. Analysis revealed additional synergy potential from the IT cost base, which will be further explored by Avarn.
